We are family - quit leaving us out!

My son and his wife have struggled with infertility for five years.  On Sunday my daughter-in-law wrote about their struggles on her wordpress blog and posted it on  her facebook page.  When my husband and I read it we were both drawn to tears as they had not told us any of the things they have gone through and have chosen to leave us out of their circle.  I wrote on her blog how we mourned for them and how sorry we were for them but they did not tell us anything and therefore we did not know of their struggles.  Today I re-looked at the post to make sure that she understand how we felt and would help in anyway we could.  She deleted the post.  Imagine how that made me feel knowing that she posted all of this for the world to see but never telling us that there were five boy embryo's and 3 little girl embryos that we will never see as grandchildren.

Grateful

Wow, just read my post of 7/27/11.  So much has changed this year.  I kept hearing God calling to me and telling me to hold on.  I held on and on July 30th of this year he moved and moved and moved.  I have a new job that i am grateful for with some great fun people who are not shy to speak about their faith.  We are struggling as a company with different issues but it is a great place to work and I love it.  I still cannot believe that I don't work in hell for crazy anymore, thank you Jesus.

crazy

I have worked at the place for 16 months - she gets more crazy and abusive everyday. Yesterday she threw stuff at me and cussed me like a dog. I wish there was a workers bills of rights in georgia because having to eat this is horrible. If you are married to somebody and they abuse you they lock them up, when an employer does it they just get away with it.

13 Months Later

Well after searching for 13 months I finally found a job. I am grateful for the the job but a little down that I had to take such a big pay cut. I guess it is the pay cut thing that is really bothering me. I will be close to home, I can still volunteer for Crossroads, and I can still make it to the gym and get dinner fixed at a decent hour. I sat down and made a list of all the pros and cons. The only con was the money. Guess I will just have to get over it huh.

Its a Blue ball!

Xmas eve 2006 - set the stage. Jisaner and Beano always have to open a present on Christmas Eve - Big Daddy is once again argumentative about it with a sneaky look in his eye. I hand out the two "presents" to Jis and Bean. Jis opens hers first - "it's a blue ball!" Bean is yelling at the top of his lungs - let it be a can of simonzie, let it be a can of simonize! Lo and behold a can of simonize. The Christmas Story - the movie comes to life in my living room. So began gag gift Christmas Eve. Xmas eve 2007 - Jis writes a lovely poem for a daddy and presents him with his xmas eve gift - A LIVE MOUSE! Xmas 2008 - Bean receives Unlce Eddie's White shoes from Big Daddy - so the saga continues.

Turkey Day 2009

Kind of different - lots of fun. The schedule was all screwed up this year so we ended up eating at 5pm instead of 1pm. It was a lot easier to get everything together a little bit at a time but I still ended up cleaning up until 9pm. Also, got to go see the great tree lighting in L'ville which is now a Young family tradition. I even got props for my pies!
